Our Pedagogy

We will ensure that students have and understanding the "building blocks" that are necessary to moving forward in the subject. These might be the 4 main mathematical operations, or grammar and sentence structure, or the Periodic Table of Elements!

Trust is an important factor in learning, and students need to feel safe to try new things and even to fail. Building a professional relationship between the student and tutor will allow the student to feel more accountable to their tutor.

Students need to understand the reasons why something that they are being told is true, for 2 main reasons:

1. They will not need to rely on having memorized a formula or method of solving a problem

2. They will be able to use that understanding to understand and solve future problems
